We had a great 4th out at the farm, camping, visiting with friends, eating wonderful food, watching fireworks, and hanging out at the Clackamas river. How lucky we are to be able to enjoy such a beautiful spot on the river, overlooked by a bald eagle that we have seen there for several years now. Our friends host this party most every year and it is not to miss! Rose's family came over on the Oregon trail, and generations later her family still owns property on the river, part of the original homestead. Lucy did great, exploring the sand with her feet and hands...she was really into it. She went into the water some as well! GrandPappy Bob and Grandma Linda came down from Idaho, and it was fun to share Lucy with them, and they both were very helpful. Lucy is a fine little camper. She woke up during the fireworks, and watched a few before falling back to sleep in Grandma Linda's lap. Lucy has started eating some oatmeal cereal here and there, quite a fun experience for her. She knew just what to do. She is getting closer to sitting on her own, and loves to stand on our lap as we hold her up. She is sick of me typing at this computer, though!
Congrats to my cousin Tina and her hubby Mike, who welcomed a baby boy this morning! 7/8/9, a pretty cool birthday. :) Hope that you all had a great 4th of July! **Update** Tina and Mike named their baby Wyatt Owen Webb...that's right, W.O.W. :)

FUN! What a great 4th tradition, Lucy is going to be quite the adventurer...I am missing the wilderness...
Cool history! I've never seen a bald eagle.
We had 60% of the Karr family at our house on the 4th!
