Summer fun

What a wonderful Summer we have been having! This past weekend we went camping at the beach with some of Marc's co-workers. It was a really fun and relaxing trip. Lucy loved the beach...exploring the sand, watching other kids, and checking out the waves. I was happy we went. Yesterday we went out to the river with some friends, and boy did Lucy have fun! She ate lots of watermelon in her mesh spoon, as shown above, and she really got into the water. In the past she seemed not too sure about it, but this time she splashed and splashed, kicked her legs, and tried to dive out of my arms! I am excited about this, as next week she starts swim lessons! Yea! She is really getting more skilled at things like getting her binky in her mouth. Last night she put it in upside down, got a funny look on her face, kicked her legs, then took her binky out, looked at it, turned it, and put it in the right way. I know it is a simple thing, but it is so exciting to see her doing new things, and be able to do things for herself! She is moving alot, spinning on her tummy, rolling, scooting backwards, and getting on all fours and rocking her bottom in the air. Childproofing time!!! We did some painting last week, and in the 10 seconds it took to get the camera, she got it all over her face! Of course! It is fun to explore!
